Glen Hansard is the celebrated principal songwriter and vocalist/guitarist for the influential Irish group The Frames. His unparalleled reputation as a frontman is rooted in his Dublin street-busking experience. Hansard is also one half of the acclaimed duo The Swell Season, with Czech songstress Markéta Irglová. In 2007, he and Irglová took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song, for "Falling Slowly,” from Once, the lauded film in which they starred. In 2013, the Broadway adaptation of the film won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical.
